Abstract: This book is a two-volume textbook which emphasizes differential diagnosis of surgical specimens. Volume one contains thirty individually authored chapters divided into seven sections under the following headings: Skin, Soft Tissue, Bone, and Joints; Breast; Central Nervous System; Endocrine System; Hematopoietic and Lymphatic Systems; Head and Neck; and Intra-Thoracic Organs and Blood Vessels. Volume two consists of twenty-six individually authored chapters under three headings: Alimentary Canal and Associated Organs; Urinary Tract and Male Genital System; and Female Reproductive System and Peritoneum. Each chapter consists of diagrams, color photographs, data tables and references to help the surgical pathologist accurately diagnose biopsy specimens.
