Abstract: The American Joint Committee on Cancer Melanoma Staging Committee proposes major changes to the TNM classification and the stage grouping for cutaneous melanoma. Analyses of prognostic factors by the major cooperative groups and cancer centers worldwide contributed data and clinical experience to the simplified and evidence-based recommendations.
