Article Title: Notch one up to stroma: Endothelial notch prevents inflammation and myeloproliferation
Abstract: In this issue of Cell Stem Cell, Wang et al. (2014) describe a signaling axis present in bone marrow stromal cells that suppresses inflammation and myeloid expansions. Loss of endothelial Notch signaling leads to deregulation of miR-155 expression, activation of NF-kB, and increased proinflammatory cytokine production, which promotes a myeloproliferative phenotype. © 2014 Elsevier Inc.
