Article/Chapter Title: | Breast cancer |
Abstract: | Advances in breast cancer screening and care have led to an increased incidence in localized early stage disease and longer survival with metastatic disease. This chapter reviews the application of local ablative therapies in the treatment of early stage breast cancer and of ablative and transarterial therapies in the treatment of oligometastatic or liver-dominant metastatic disease. Key retrospective data is summarized, and areas for needed prospective studies are highlighted. © Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2020. |
