Article Title: | The effect of radical prostatectomy on sexual function |
Abstract: | Erectile dysfunction is the most common sexual dysfunction after radical prostatectomy. The true prevalence is hard to determine due to variability in the methodology of outcome studies. The pathophysiology is based on several mechanisms that begin after surgery and lead to irreversible damage. There are other non-ED sexual dysfunctions which often receive less attention but still cause significant patient and partner bother. These sexual dysfunctions are often related to orgasm including changes in orgasm intensity, sexual incontinence, and dysorgasmia. © 2016, Springer International Publishing Switzerland. |
