Article Title: Biopsy techniques in head and neck
Abstract: The establishment of an accurate histologic diagnosis is extremely important in the management of patients with head and neck lesions. This article describes various biopsy techniques and discusses the clinical implications in relation to common lesions involving thyroid and salivary glands and cervical lymphadenopathy. The diagnostic pitfalls and pros and cons of needle biopsy are also discussed in detail.
