Article Title: α-emitters for radiotherapy: From basic radiochemistry to clinical studies - Part 1
Abstract: Learning Objectives: On successful completion of this activity, participants should be able to (1) cite α-emitter families available for therapeutic use and understand their current production limit; (2) consider radiation safety concerns when handling α-emitters; and (3) overcome radiolabeling and daughter redistribution hurdles with the approaches described in this educational review. Financial Disclosure: This work is supported by the Radiochemistry and Molecular Imaging Probe Core, which is supported in part by NIH/NCI Cancer Center Support Grant P30 CA008748. Jason Lewis is supported by the Mr. William H. and Mrs. Alice Goodwin and the Commonwealth Foundation for Cancer Research and by the Center for Experimental Therapeutics of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
