Article Title: Voice measurement: Is more better?
Abstract: Although recent years have seen an explosive growth in the available number of tests and measurements of vocal function, it is not clear that vocal diagnosis and evaluation have become correspondingly more precise nor therapy more efficacious. In short, there is little basis for believing that more extensive testing has refined clinical practice. Some reasons for this situation are addressed, and it is suggested that attention to a few basic and common-sense principles can improve the utility and efficiency of evaluation of vocal dysfunction. © 1997 Informa UK Ltd All rights reserved.
