Article Title: Intractable cancer pain in children
Abstract: In summary, the management of intractable paIn in a child with cancer at times needs to be sophisticated. It may require the use of highdose opioids, adjuvant agents, and occasionally regional anesthesia and neurolytic blockade. Although the majority of children will not require these interventions, practitioners should be aware of the modalities of pain management that may be required for the intractable cases.
