Article Title: Successful brachytherapy for medulloepithelioma
Abstract: Medulloepithelioma is a congenital neuroepithelial tumor of the eye. Although this tumor is generally benign, it may contain substantial numbers of undifferentiated cells with high mitotic rates that can cause an increase in tumor size and may affect lens clarity and vision. In such cases, treatment of the medulloepithelioma may be warranted. Medulloepitheliomas can be confused with other malignant tumors of the eye, such as retinoblastoma.
