Article Title: | Delirium in the terminally ill |
Abstract: | The clinician caring for patients with life-threatening illness is likely to encounter delirium as a common major psychiatric complication of advancing illness, particularly in the older patient and during the last weeks of life when up to 85% of patients may develop a delirium. Proper assessment, diagnosis, and management are important in minimizing morbidity and improving quality of life. |
