Article Title: The synthesis of CP-263,114 and CP-225,917: Striking long-range stereocontrol in the fashioning of C7
Abstract: More remote influences: The substitute at C1 in 1 can control the course of attack during addition of a nucleophile to the C7 aldehyde. This stereochemical guidance proved an interesting challenge in the synthesis of the title compounds.
