Article/Chapter Title: Bipolar TURP
Abstract: Over the last decade, the bipolar endoscopic technique has proven to be as efficacious as TURP and potentially safer due to the fact that it is performed in 0.9 % normal saline with almost no risk of dilutional hyponatremia, a feared complication of TURP. Long-term efficacy and safety data continues to accrue and appears to be favorable as compared to TURP. © Springer Science+Business Media New York 2015.
