Abstract: Enol acetate and silyl enol ether, derivatives of 2 and 3 undergo stereoselective epoxidation from the β-face of the C13-C14 olefin. The progression of these compounds to the C13 acetoxy C14 ketones is described. © 2004 Published by Elsevier Ltd.
