Abstract: An overview of sarcomas, described as cancers derived from connective tissues such as bone, muscle, fat or cartilage is presented. Genetic causes, and potential therapies, such as the use of imatinib, gefitinib, and erlotinib and their potential mechanisms of action are discussed.
