Article/Chapter Title: Pelvis
Abstract: The role of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the female pelvis has evolved during the last two to three decades. There is now a substantial body of evidence that MRI is useful in evaluating Müllerian duct anomalies and both benign and malignant conditions of the female pelvis. MRI has been shown to be superior to CT in the workup of uterine and cervical carcinoma and is a very useful problem-solving tool in the characterization of adnexal lesions.
