Article Title: Giant benign esophageal schwannoma requiring esophagectomy
Abstract: Benign esophageal schwannomas are rare tumors with only 14 cases reported in the English literature. All previous reports describe excision without major esophageal resection. We report the case of a 33-year-old woman with a giant esophageal schwannoma that required total thoracic esophagectomy. © 2006 The Society of Thoracic Surgeons.
