Review Title: | Maximizing the diagnostic potential of 1,3 beta-D-glucan assays for invasive fungal infections |
Abstract: | Invasive fungal infections (IFIs) pose a serious threat to patients, particularly those who are immunocompromised. Timely and accurate diagnosis of IFIs is critical to improving outcomes, and conventional diagnostic methods often fall short. The 1,3 Beta-D-Glucan (BDG) assay has become a significant test in the early diagnosis and management of IFIs when used in the appropriate clinical context. © 2025 |
