Abstract: Empyema necessitans should be suspected in any patient presenting with constitutional symptoms, pleural effusion, and a subcutaneous chest wall mass. Thoracic sonography is a readily available tool, which can expedite diagnosis and timely management. © 2024 The Author(s).
