Review Title: | Esophagectomy for end-stage achalasia |
Abstract: | Esophagectomy for achalasia is reserved for patients with end-stage disease for whom prior treatment has failed. Esophagectomy can be performed safely through a variety of techniques. Conduit options include stomach, colon, and small intestine. There are many potential complications following esophagectomy.
