Article Title: Imaging of bladder cancer
Abstract: CT urography can be used as a one-stop-shop examination to evaluate the entire urinary system in the presence of hematuria, thus eliminating the need for additional imaging. It also serves as a great tool for staging and post-treatment follow-up in patients who have bladder cancer. MR imaging is an excellent tool for local staging of bladder cancer because of its intrinsic high soft tissue contrast, submillimeter spatial resolution, and direct multiplanar imaging capabilities. Differentiation of post-treatment changes in the bladder from tumor, however, still can be difficult. © 2006 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
