Abstract: Breast MRI has become an integral component in breast imaging. Indications have become clearer and better defined. Guidelines and recommendations are evolving and many are recognized and published. Future applications are exciting and may possibly improve our ability to diagnose breast cancer, improving the patient's treatment options and ultimately patient outcome. © 2007 Elsevier Inc.
