Article Title: Autotransplantation in lymphoma: Better therapy or healthier patients
Abstract: Bone marrow autotransplantation has been shown to be potentially curative in patients with relapsed lymphoma. A review of the literature shows a higher cure rate for autotransplantation in comparison with salvage chemotherapy as rescue treatment for patients with relapsed or recurrent lymphoma. However, the patients treated in two groups are not entirely comparable (for example, older patients were included in the salvage chemotherapy series). The question of superiority remains to be answered definitely.
