Article Title: Unconjugated monoclonal antibodies as anticancer agents
Abstract: Induction of a specific inflammatory response against human cancer has long been a goal of tumor immunologists. Monoclonal antibodies (moAbs) specific for antigens expressed by cancer cells can be used to direct the inflammatory response against tumors. Several different strategies are currently being pursued and are reviewed in this article. Using molecular biology techniques, newer approaches will entail the ''humanization'' of mouse moAbs as well as the construction of antibody subunits with the desired specificities.
