Article Title: Congenital anomalies of the lumbosacral spine
Abstract: The lumbosacral spine is the most common site of congenital spinal anomalies. The lesions seen most frequently are tethered cord, meningocele, myelomeningocele, lipomelomeningocele, and sacral anomalies. The appropriate imaging of these anomalies is aided by an understanding of their embryology and clinical presentation. MR imaging is the modality of choice for diagnosis and preoperative evaluation of lumbosacral congenital anomalies.
