Article Title: The use of groups to manage conflict
Abstract: This paper examines the use of groups to reduce, mitigate, and manage intra and inter organizational conflict in social work settings and to mobilize energy to build consensus for change. Illustrations are presented from four settings where short-term groups were used to identify and mediate tension, reach decisions, and make pertinent organizational changes. Practice guidelines drawn from these experiences are suggested. © 1993 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
