Article Title: | Chart tracking systems: Prerequisite to medical records automation |
Abstract: | In summary, automation of chart tracking is the place to begin full-scale medical record automation. Its collected data provides the framework for design and implementation of other systems, frees resources to use data to best advantage, and allows employees to make a comfortable transition from manual methods to computerized charts. A properly designed tracking system is the first step on the path to the electronic medical record. |
