Article Title: | Central nervous system infections in cancer patients |
Abstract: | Central nervous system infections cause significant morbidity and mortality in patients with cancer. Knowledge of the underlying immune defect and susceptibility patterns at a given hospital dictates which specific empiric regimens are selected. Promptly instituting empiric therapy can improve survival. |
