Abstract: Axillary dissection is advised in most cases of invasive breast cancer. The rationale includes its possible effect on survival, information regarding staging necessary to individualize systemic treatment, and the prevention of regional axillary disease. Lymphedema is the most common complication after maxillary treatment.
