Article Title: Lack of splenic uptake of In-111 pentetreotide due to splenic embolization
Abstract: We report an incidental finding of absent splenic uptake of indium-111 pentetreotide in a patient with unresectable pancreatic neuroendocrine carcinoma, who underwent splenic embolization for bleeding varices, and to debulk a 17.9 by 8.5 cm mass with retroperitoneal extensionSpleen infarction was confirmed on a dedicated contrast enhanced computed tomography (CT).
