Article Title: Pneumothorax after diagnostic laparoscopy
Abstract: A case of laparoscopic-induced asymptomatic pneumothorax (PTX) is presented. Six hours postoperation, a chest x-ray revealed no evidence of PTX. The patient subsequently had a routine postoperation course. As the number of laparoscopic cases performed each year continues to rise, the surgeon must remain cognizant of all possible major and minor complications to keep laparoscopic surgery safe and effective.
