Article Title: Role of repeat resection in non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer
Abstract: Repeat transurethral resection (TUR) is indicated for high-grade non-muscle-invasive bladder tumors. Repeat TUR is a diagnostic, therapeutic, prognostic, and predictive procedure. Repeat TUR achieves optimal local control by removing residual tumors after initial TUR, improves staging accuracy, provides additional histologic material favoring accurate diagnosis, allocates appropriate therapy with improved outcomes, facilitates response to intravesical therapy, and provides important prognostic information. © JNCCN - Journal of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network.
