Abstract: | The authors describe the areas of surgical health care delivery that are not being fulfilled by current surgical education programs. There are compelling reasons to adapt surgical education programs to increase the appeal of surgery and to fulfill the expectations of patient, surgeon, and academic health care institutions. |
