| Abstract: | In September 2011, the Society of Surgical Oncology (SSO) Executive Council voted to transition to self-management. The transition was successfully completed in October 2012. This article summarizes the infrastructure changes that have occurred to facilitate the transition, the SSO goals, selected results from the 2012 Membership Survey, and future directions for the SSO. © 2014 Society of Surgical Oncology. |
