Article Title: Management of sepsis and recurrent abscess formation complicating radiofrequency ablation of pancreatic cancer liver metastasis and whipple resection
Abstract: We present a case of liver abscess complicating radiofrequency ablation of a biopsy-proven liver metastasis in a patient with pancreatic cancer who was previously treated with a Whipple procedure. Management included prolonged percutaneous drainage of the abscess and afferent loop with subsequent surgical correction of afferent limb obstruction. ©2010 BC Decker Inc. All rights reserved.
