Title: The trials and tribulations of energy management in healthcare
Conference Title: World Energy Engineering Congress
Abstract: Energy Management in a Healthcare environment can be extremely satisfying and frustrating at the same time. It requires the Energy Manager to reduce / maintain the overall energy profile of the institution but yet providing the end users; patients, visitors, staff, researchers, vivarium and equipment with the heating and cooling required for comfort and proper operation. It also needs to take in that many ventilation rates are dictated by various governing bodies that may not always agree.
