Article/Chapter Title: Robotic right colectomy with complete mesocolic excision and intracorporeal anastomosis
Abstract: Resection is the cornerstone in the treatment of nonmetastatic colon cancer. Complete mesocolic excision, with central vascular ligation and resection of the mesentery with intact visceral peritoneum, facilitates tumor removal with a clear margin and adequate lymphadenectomy. A robot-assisted approach facilitates complete resection due to improved visualization, better ergonomics, and superior dexterity comparted to straight laparoscopy. This chapter details the technical steps of robotic right hemi colectomy with complete mesocolic excision and describes navigation of common pitfalls. © 2025 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
