Title: Decoding subclonal anti-tumor immunity
Abstract: Subclonal evolution allows tumors to evade the immune system. In this issue of Cancer Cell, Dijkstra et al. combine the TRACERx cohort with co-cultures of autologous tumors and immune cells to functionally profile subclonal immune escape at the single-clone resolution. This work highlights cancer-intrinsic immune-escape mechanisms that can be interrogated on a co-culture platform. © 2025 Elsevier Inc.
