Article/Chapter Title: Mesenchymal and Mixed Epithelial–Stromal Malignant Tumors of the Cervix
Abstract: Primary cervical mesenchymal and mixed epithelial-stromal tumors are only extraordinarily rarely encountered in the uterine cervix. They are detailed in this chapter because corpus tumors may extend to the cervix. Tumors in this category that are more commonly encountered in cervix than corpus include embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma, the extremely rare mesonephric carcinosarcomas, and a certain type of fibroblastic sarcoma (NTRK-associated), and, perhaps, alveolar soft part sarcoma. Each of the many entities presented in this chapter is illustrated, using scenarios that highlight clinical and demographic features. © Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2021.
