Abstract: Microtomy Microtomy is the process of using a cryostat Cryostat to section the embedded Mohs tissue specimen. The embedded Mohs tissue specimen is sectioned at varying thickness measured in microns and then placed onto a glass slide. Quality sections that are free of any technical artifacts are necessary to allow accurate interpretation by the Mohs surgeon. © The Author(s), Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.
