Article/Chapter Title: Artificial intelligence in breast imaging
Abstract: The use of artificial intelligence (AI) in breast imaging is rapidly evolving, with many possible applications, including improved image acquisition, more accurate detection and diagnosis of breast lesions, breast cancer risk assessment, and the development of new imaging biomarkers to predict treatment response and clinical outcomes. The application of AI tools in breast imaging offers an unprecedented opportunity to better derive clinical value from imaging data and reshape the way we care for our patients. This chapter discusses AI applications for mammography, breast ultrasound, and magnetic resonance imaging. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2023.
