| Abstract: | Diseases affecting the peritoneum are diverse, ranging from reactive to neoplastic. Secondary (metastatic) involvement of the peritoneum is common amongst malignant lesions; this possibility should alwyas be considered and included in the differential of primary Müllerian or mesothelial tumors. Entities covered in in this chapter include endometriosis, primary peritoneal carcinoma, mesothelial tumors, pseudomyxoma peritonei, as well as more unusual tumors such as desmoplastic small round cell tumor (DSRCT) and disseminated peritoneal leiomyomatosis (DPL). © 2020 Elsevier Inc.
