Article/Chapter Title: Musculoskeletal and neurological complications of check point inhibitors
Abstract: Immunotherapy with checkpoint inhibitors has become a frontline treatment for small and nonsmall cell lung cancer. The immune response that results from this treatment can affect any organ system. There are broad musculoskeletal and neurological conditions resulting from immunotherapy that potentially affect patients' daily performance. Recognizing these conditions and how they potentially affect function is the newest challenge for oncology rehabilitation. However, most of these complications behave similarly to other neurological and musculoskeletal disorders that respond effectively with rehabilitation medicine interventions. © 2023 Elsevier Inc.
