Article Title: Intrathecal drug delivery for cancer-related pain
Abstract: From 1970 to 2019, the 5-year relative survival rates for all cancers have increased from 49 to 69% (Brogan and Gulati 2020). Breast cancer 5-year relative survival rates have improved even more with an increase from 75 to 91% (Brogan and Gulati 2020). Prostate cancer has also improved substantially with survival rates increasing from 68 to 99% (Brogan and Gulati 2020). The goal of cancer pain management is to preserve or even increase the quality of life of these cancer patients that are now living longer (Brogan and Gulati 2020). © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.
