Article Title: Intraoperative sonography: Application in renal cell carcinoma
Abstract: Our ability to detect and potentially to treat renal tumors earlier has increased exponentially during recent years, in part owing to the introduction of more sophisticated imaging modalities. We report 2 cases in which intraoperative sonography was used to localize tumors not palpable at operation. In both cases surgery was performed on solitary kidneys for renal cell carcinoma in otherwise healthy patients.
