Article Title: Patient dose in mammography
Abstract: Patient dose in mammography is important and must be measured for several reasons, especially for evaluation of risk to a patient in a screening program and for assessment and comparison of imaging techniques and equipment. Of the different types of dose that can be measured, mean glandular dose is the best indicator of patient risk. The author reviews factors that affect dose and discusses measurement of dose.
