Abstract: Pediatric gastrointestinal tumors are rare in children but are being increasingly recognized. These tumors have distinct biologic and clinical feature that are different from those observed in adults. This review highlights the biological and clinical characteristics of pediatric GIST and provides diagnostic and therapeutic guidelines for the management these unique and challenging group of tumors.
