| Abstract: | In a Phase II trial, patients with refractory ovarian cancer were given 10 mg/m2 mitomycin-C iv every 8 weeks and 1000 mg/m2/day 5-fluorouracil for 3 consecutive days by continous intravenous infusion repeated every 4 weeks. Sixteen heavily pretreated patients with platinum-resistant disease were treated and no major responses were observed. Only 2 patients required subsequent dose reduction for myelotoxocity. No sign of gastrointestinal toxicity was seen. This regimen is inactive as salvage treatment for refractory ovarian cancer. © 1993 Academic Press, Inc. |
