Article Title: Systemic therapy for colon cancer
Abstract: Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a common and frequently fatal disease in North America. A multidisciplinary approach to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of this disease is essential. There have been many advances in the surgical and medical treatment of CRC over the last 10 years. This article reviews the indications, efficacy, and toxicity of chemotherapy and targeted therapy for patients who have CRC. © 2008 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
