Article Title: Use of a sentinel lymph node biopsy algorithm in a South African population of patients with cervical cancer and high prevalence of human immunodeficiency virus infection
Abstract: Cervical cancer is common in resource-poor settings with high prevalence of tuberculosis, pelvic inflammatory disease, and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection. There are no data regarding the sentinel lymph node (SLN) algorithm in these highrisk cancer populations. Our objectives were to establish the sensitivity, specificity, positivepredictive value, and negative predictive value of the SLN algorithm in cervical cancer and to compare the detection rate of indocyanine green (ICG) versus blue dye versus technetium Tc 99m nanocolloid (99mTc). © 2018 by IGCS and ESGO.
